WelcomeIf you're new here or want to find out more about our church, you're very welcome and we'd like to get to know you.
Our mission is that, together, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we will have confidence, excitement and freedom in Jesus Christ to glorify God through worship, faith and service. In the various sections of our website you’ll find information about our beliefs, our church vision, who we are, our Sunday services, activities and mission work as well as how to find us and get in touch.
Please note that there are no public meetings or worship services at Great Ayton Methodist Church until further notice. This is a result of the present COVID-19 pandemic. We are uploading weekly ‘services’ to our YouTube channel and we’d love you to join us on watching and taking part in worship in this way. Please look out for further updates as we explore other ways of doing church, being a family and serving the community. Stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives. We pray for God’s blessings on us all.
Please look out on our What’s On page here, or on our social media accounts for updates as things change.
Holy Habits is an adventure in Christian discipleship inspired by Luke’s model of church found in Acts 2:42–47, it identifies ten habits to guide a way of life. From March to May we’re focusing on ‘breaking bread’. Look out for a range of eating together and communion based events and activities. A recommended reading list is available. Learn more here
Following our very successful support for the Smiles Foundation in 2019, we’re nearer home in 2020 and supporting Teesside Hospice. The hospice needs to fundraise to cover around two-thirds of its operating costs. We aim to try and raise enough to allow them to operate for at least one day! Find out more here
